3 Unconventional Jamun Kala Khatta Recipies FTW!

Nostalgia bhi! Fun bhi!

If we had a time machine, we'd probably revisit summers when we were kids. Why? Because of Kala Khatta gola. Just the name evokes waves of nostalgia, doesn't it? If you grew up in the 80s and early 90s and if you were anything like us, chuskis and golas were your dreams, whose mention gave you goosebumps.

Indian summers and Kala Khatta go hand-in-hand. Did you wait for the gola-wala bhaiya to ring his chime as he crossed your grandmother’s lane? Or like us, did you beg your parents to take you to chowpatty so you could get your hand on these beauties? We would greedily savor shaved ice golas doused with a dark, sticky, masala-fied syrup often requesting the gola-wala bhaiya for more. These followed contented rides back home when we would compare our purple tongues, the proud souvenirs of the late night treats.

But as we grew older, we became more aware. We worry whether the gola wala bhaiya washed his hands, or is the ice from RO demineralised water or we cringe at the obviously synthetic coloring he has put in the syrup. Your mother’s warnings ring in your ears. You worry about typhoid and bacteria playing havoc in your gut. Of course, the tempting Kala Khatta gola follows embargo norms in every household, and rightfully so.

Well, thankfully not anymore. Cool Story’s Jamun Kala Khatta is something every mum would approve of. There’s no artificial flavoring, no added colour, no harmful preservatives because it is crafted with all natural ingredients.

Without further ado, let’s jump into the magic you can create with Cool Story Jamun Kala Khatta cubes!
